Conclusion of the wii story:

The store emailed me a few days later to tell me that they are out of stock for the wii adaptor.
I guess it was really not meant to be...=)

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!!

2006 was a pretty happening year and I must say, after everything that has happened, I'm glad that I'm where I am at the moment.

Over the year, I thought that I had everything I wanted.
A good job, great friends and a boyfriend who loved me.
Unfortunately, but the time summer came, everything revealed itself and I was left with just a good job and a very confused heart.
For the first time, I took a huge step in my life and left everything that hurt me behind.
I walked forward and never looked back.

Don't know if I'd ever regret it but as for now, I'm happy that I managed to think for myself for once.

With a brand new year, now I just hope that I'd be more focussed on school and get it over and done with. (with hopefully a bunch of good grades..)
This is almost my last leg of school life and I am going to embrace every second of it before it ends for good.

I think God has blessed me so much over the year and have brought amazing people into my life that have been there for me through all these difficult times. If I were to write thank yous to everyone, I would take forever cos there's too many people in my life I am so thankful for. =) All I wanna say is that I've been so blessed to have everyone in my life I couldn't ask for more. I would never want to change with someone else this life God has given me because of all the people he's led me to meet. But, there is one big thank you that should be said before I leave:

Eugene, for being the greatest roommate. Who has been there for me even when you're in so much pain yourself. Thank you for everything. Thank you for the late night talks that last till 3am and for staying up to make sure I'm alright. =) Thank you for always thinking about me when you buy lunch on Tuesdays and Thursdays and for all the small little things you have done for me over the past few months. I really do appreciate it! =) I'm glad that this break has done you some good and I hope that in this coming year, you'd find a source of happiness for yourself! Love you lots!

I love you all!!!! Have a great year ahead!!!

Here's the update on the wii story:

Got the package from Eugene but it wasn't the ac adaptor. He got an ac converter.
So we were almost going to concede defeat.

Then, I found on the web....multi region ac adaptor sold in Hongkong.
Shed new hope and light for us.
I ordered it and paidanother 31 USD for it.

Yesterday I got an email from someone asking why my delivery address and billing address was different and asking for photocopies of my ID, credit card and billing statement.

What a bunch of crap is that. I emailed back and said I refuse to send them such details and to cancel my order...

She emailed me back and said they will send out my order as soon as possible.

Nothing to say....=) Now a brand new hope has arised again....This christmas is really about hope and faith.

Is the wii meant to be...?

Photos from Leona's Wedding!

Sandy, mum and me @ church
We love VAL!!! (at least terrorizing her)

The lovely couple...

My family before going for dinner

Leona's little helpers...

I just realized one amazing fact.....I took photos...but none with the bride and groom. FANTASTIC boo. Anyway, Leona's wedding went well! Really tired from the whole ordeal but nothing a good night's rest can't cure! =)

Merry Christmas everyone! (back home and in bloomington!) Hope everyone had a blessed christmas!

Hello hello!

Ok, for some weird reason I'm happier than normal today.
Met up with Kenn and Dex today.
Was nice catching up on things.
It's funny how we go on with life and every time we look back, all we do is laugh about how stupid we were. It's just great having such invaluable friendships here. I wouldn't trade this for the world. =)

After dinner, Dex drove me through town to see the lights. Really beautiful. I don't normally see the beauty in the simplest of things but this night, the lights were really nice. I'll post some pictures out tomorrow.

Ok! Going to bed! Got a LONGGGG day tomorrow! =P

BTW, in regards to my dead Wii, Eugene bought for me a new AC adaptor and sent it to me from Bloomington (thanks dear!). We're now crossing our fingers and hope that we spoilt the ac adaptor not the wii system itself. Next week, the truth shall be revealed......

So today started off as a pretty eventful day! I woke up at 5.30am to pick my brother up at the airport. Both of us were excited little kids cos' my dearest darling brother queued up 5 hours in LA to buy the wii! Once he got back home, we had our official wii opening ceremony!
Unfortunately, the two of us became dumbasses and didn't realize that a step down adaptor was needed since Singapore is 220V and the AC adaptor was 120V. Thus, once I plugged it in, the whole house had a power failure and I smelt a burning smell coming from the living room. Killed us both. Now we're just depressed cos we waited so long for it and we screwed it up so bad we can't play with it anymore. Ugh.

After that we went to the gym with Zhiqiang and David. I swear the rain in Singapore has not stop since the day before. While we were gyming, there was an announcement for everyone to move their cars out of the parking lot cos' it was flooded. Dave and I went to mvoe the car and saw cars semi-submerged in water. They were inches away from getting their exhaust pipes in the water. Badbadbad... We drove past Thomson and saw trucks half submerged in water.

I usually love rain, but this is too much of it....
Way too much..

Met up with Cel and Belle in the evening!
Was great catching up with them.
I love the fact that we can not meet for almost a year, and still have such a great time together. hee. Ok, minus the english lessons from Cel...=P

I love being home....for the most of it. hee.

I'm so happy!!!!

Not only I'm FINALLY home with my family and friends, I actually passed A311.
I think I'm high on happiness now. =)

I've been so stressed out on the prospect of failing A311. I swear it's the greatest relief of all. heehee.

Nothing can get better than this.

I'm so major jetlagging now. *bleah*
Woke up at 4am.....sian....

I finally finished my Astronomy practice exam.

Was really very sad today.
I guess it was a bad lapse of judgement but I think I did horribly for my A311 exam. Might end up havaing to retake it.
It sucks...the feeling of not being able to turn back time and changing some answers.
It's a horrible horrible feeling.
The whole day I couldn't think of anything else except that I screwed up so badly.
I've reached the feeling where I can find no hope. You know, sometimes when you do badly, ou hang on to that last string of hope that things would turn out fine in the end. I've felt that like a dozen times. Not this time. This time's BAD.

I was happy and all looking forward to going back.
But now, when I'm back home, I have to face my fears and check my stupid grades.
Ugh.
Not looking forward to that.

I can't believe myself.
The last lap and I couldn't even get it right.

Oh well. so I spent the whole night searching the web for Astronomy answers.
The practice exam is totally not what we learn in class.
Took way too long to get it done.
Now I'm a day behind for cost accounting. What's with me and not studying enough for accounting this finals?

HELP....I need to disappear...NOW...

Just saw Laura's new place on her blog.
Looks so much nicer than when I saw it earlier this year.

It's so weird how I went from having a brother and a cousin in Bloomington, to being the only one left. I guess I never thought Laura would leave this place before me. =)

It is a nice comforting thought though, that eventually, some time down the road, we will all be in the same place again....back home.

On another note, today's the start of my exams!
Can't wait to get everything over and done with.
My motivation is slowly dying off.
Slowly...but surely..

I miss this cutie pie! =)

So exams are starting tomorrow. I'm excited yet scared. As usual. hee. Hopefully I'll get through this. Can't wait to go home. This christmas I bought all my christmas gifts from the US. Decided that since I've been here for so long, it's about time I bring back some goodies for christmas for my pals and family! =) Of course this is at the expense of luggage space and less clothes I can bring back to Singapore. hee. Good thing is I have David to help me with that! yay!

Exams are in a week's time!
Time to get my butt off the couch and my eyes off Grey's Anatomy!

Gonna be home in two weeks on the 17th of December!
Can't wait to seeeeee everyoneeeeee.....*big grin*

This Christmas is going to be a blast!!!!

Friday, December 01, 2006 . 12:37 AM

I spent my night sitting in front of the television watching show after show.
My new MTV craze is Beauty and the Geek, reality TV craze is Survivor and Drama series craze is Grey's Anatomy. I am a TV FREAK!

I think I've always been one.
Just that some time last year I stopped due to the habits of Roland and heavy school work loads.
Now, with one gone I replaced it with endless TV.
To help me is Dave's nice little DVR that tapes all the shows that I want to watch so that I can watch it over and over again.
~
I was sitting on my chair reflecting on the past semester. (yes, it's ending in 2 weeks)
I realized that my life has changed drastically this semester.
New roommate, Roland leaving, shit load of school work and most importantly, having my friends back home in the US (Dave and Lea).
Things really have changed.
Some times I'm not sure if I really wanted the change or if everything happened so fast that I couldn't look back even if I wanted to.
But coming to the states made me realize that nothing here is forever.
I got burnt so many times and I still never learnt my lesson. (So many times I should have listened to Roland but I chose not to.)
Only after 2 and 1/2 years, I finally changed things. I finally learnt.
At the end, all I know is that my eternity is at Home, with all my friends and family.
