Just thinking back on those bowling days.
Yes, bowling.

A subject I have refused to touch for the past 2 years or so.
For some reason, I just don't want to be reminded of bowling since I've decided to give it up completely. I don't want that feeling of wanting to bowl all the time and the pain on my back to come back.

But now, as I was sitting in front of my computer looking back on those JC days, I realized that bowling has brought me the most happiness.

Bowling not only taught me determination and perservence would allow me to achieve my goals, but it also brought me closer to my parents. I still remember how they used to sit behind me day in day out supporting me even through training.
Bowling found me my best friend Amy and the 3 guys who've been oh-so-dear to me.
Bowling also attracted Roland to me (apparently)...

Hahaha. Therefore, I conclude that bowling has really brought me great joy and happiness for the past few years. Even when I was hurting physically and mentally, bowling was always my driving force to succeed.

Instead of shying away from it, I really should embrace it and continue doing what I have loved and enjoyed the past few years.
Fish Fanatics!

Yes, our underwater world is complete! We now have 1 swordtail (fellow), 3 black skirt tetras (3 musketeers!), 4 neon tetras (teenage mutant ninja turtles) and 2 orange colored tetras (batman and robin!) hahaha. One nice big happy family!

Aren't they just so cute! =) Hahaha.

On another note, I'm just so lazy to go to school today. I pulled my neck muscle and it feels awful. We're leaving for cedar point today too! Bleah.

3 more weeks!! I'm half way thru summer 1! OMG. How fast is that man....yay! So excited!

Wednesday, May 24, 2006 . 5:43 PM

Just got home from the library.
So tired.
I realized that summer isn't a good start for me since I haven't studied for the past 1/2 a year.
I'm suffering from major inertia.
I'm looking forward to Fall.
Don't need to study as much.
*grin*

So we're leaving for Cedar Point this coming Friday!
I'm excited.
I love trips!
Sunday we'll be going to Cleveland to see my man LeBron.
Hahaha.

Alrighty. Time to rest and relax.

I just realized the coolest thing ever.
My school actually installed computerized printers in the library.
Now, you actually have to go to the printer and key in ur username and password to retrieve ur documents.
Like seriously...how cool is that!
I've been away from school way too long....=)

On another good note! I did alright for all my exams!! I'm happy! I thought i'd do a lot worse but I seem to be aye-ok! Hopefully I'll just keep things going steady for the rest of my 2 years. I'm so excited for school to start in Fall!!! *grin*

This is a nice song....and it's all over the radio here....
I felt this horrible sense of disappointment as Spurs lost to Dallas today.
It felt like I was the one losing to them. Like someone stabbed my heart.
Now I understand how Eugene felt when the Lakers lost...and how David felt when Raiders lose (all the time).

Oh well....

Today really isn't a good day.
First I screwed up my corporate finance exam big time.
Then the spurs lost.
Seriously....what can be worse than that.

*BIG SIGH*....

Saturday, May 20, 2006 . 11:28 AM

Looking back on my Thailand photos, I REALLY miss those days.
Those were 4 very fulfilling days with 3 very great friends....
Wish I could relive them....or at least go on another trip to make a new set of memories. =)

Brand new day, brand new view...just damnnn sleepy.
Today was quite an eventful day.
Had my first exam in the morning....(not very good)
Went shopping for awhile with Eugene
Played badminton, basketball and swam...
Had pizza and NBA semis in the evening...
Then watched Davinci Code till 1am.

Damn it was a packed day.

Wednesday, May 17, 2006 . 9:08 AM

*Sigh* Waiting for Eug to get ready so that we can go take the bus to school.

For some wierd reason, my contacts are blur. Can't see too well.

I realized that I am actually quite a handicap.
If I took off my glasses, or contacts, I would be 70% blind.
Everything I see would be too blur for me to recognize.
That's how sad I am.

When I was in primary 2, all I wanted was to wear glasses since my whole family had them. I tried so hard to get my eye sight spoilt till I succeeded in primary 3.
What a dumbass.

Kids, PLEASE listen to your parents when they say don't sit too close to the TV..or don't read in the dark.... Trust me, you'll regret it.

I don't know whether it's pure coincidence or fate.....

I'm moving to a totally new apartment but my apartment no. didn't change. From 722 Woodbridge, to 722 Campus View. Interesteing... must be my lucky no. =) The only thing that change is the person I'm staying with. Haha. It's going to be weird without my roomie of 2 years.

Sunday, May 14, 2006 . 2:54 AM

So, Eugene and I went grocery shopping on Thursday and decided that we should buy some food to cook at home. I agreed to cook bake rice one day and he said that he'll do satay beehoon. Here's a look at Eugene's virgin attempt:

Satay Beehoon without satay

Satay Beehoon with satay!
I say it was pretty good for a first timer at dinner cooking. It was also my first time eating satay beehoon! Hahaha. Came all the way to Bloomington to try it. =)

Today, Roland and I did extensive car searching. We were out from 11am to almost 5pm just looking at cars, going from dealer to dealer. And....I have narrowed my choices down to two!

2006 Mazda 3 and 2006 Honda Civic Coupe. *drool*

OMG....never would I have imagined the day I'd find a honda civic so appealing. The new Honda Civic SI is even hotter! Ugh. Too bad I'd never be able to drive a manual. *bleah* My new found love. All I need is parental support..... pleasepleasepleaseeee... Kor, if you're seeing this, call me! We need to discuss things about the car. =)

Boo is just overwhelmed with excitement! (Besides the thought of a project due in class next week and my first exams for summer! Yes...it's only been a week of school....craziness.)

Wednesday, May 10, 2006 . 8:39 AM

Lord, please teleport me back to Singapore where I know I can be home and happy.

Things haven't been looking up too well here.
One thing keeps happening after another.
I know I well deserve some of it but now I'm just tired.
All over again.

I've spent a good no. of years in my life trying to please everyone around me so that they'll be happy in expense of my own happiness. I always thought that if my friends were happy so will I but coming to Bloomington has made me realize that sometimes, it might help to be a tad bit more selfish. At the end of the day, the truth and reality of the situation is, you really don't know who's your true friend and who's not. Therefore, being nice or accomodating really doesn't matter no more. People 'hang out' cos' of the convenience of the situation but not cos' of true friendships. Everyone has an ulterior motive and is not afraid to "gossip and backstab" in order to attract and break up friendships. (Even if it's not the truth, it still does its damage.) People think that they know best in every situation, where in fact, they know jack shit about the people around them. Everyone thinks they know what the "real world" is about but the truth is, the real world is what you make out of it. There is always a choice, it's whether you have the balls to make it or not.

When there is a glimmer of true friends..... gossips, lies, manipulation and deceit just throws all hopes away. Yes, the truth is out. Everything's just a big vicious cycle that hopefully would self reveal one day. I'm tired and I hope you all are too.

Being in Bloomington really sucks cos' one day, you might lose those seemingly close to you even without u realizing it. Don't get me wrong, It's not that I have no true friends here at all and that I don't appreciate them, but the uncertainty of friendships have made me more of a skeptic towards this issue.

That's why it's so nice to be in Singapore. You can trust that your family and friends would be there no matter what happens. Now you know why I take every opportunity to go home. Home is REALLY home and nothing can replace it.

Monday, May 08, 2006 . 9:17 AM

So I'm back in Bloomington!

Things been going pretty well. It was great seeing Roland again after so long.
It's been fatabulous seeing Lynn and Eugene too.
The three people I've missed oh-so-much.
Unfortunately, I only got to hang with Lynn for a day before she left for Orlando.
Wish she was here..... *sigh*
Everything seems to be in place now so all I'm waiting for is for school to kick in.
It's been half a year since I last studied.
I hope I can get back into the groove pretty smoothly. =)

Juinyi came over last night to hang. Was great just chilling once again! She's off to Indy to look for an apartment. Now I'm somewhat excited to join her. heehee. (In about 2 years time..)
I'm so glad all my friends are looking for jobs in the states. It'll be relatively easy to go look for them. If Lynn's in SF, I can fly there over weekends to chill. Juinyi's in Indy so she'll be back during weekends to chill. Roland's in Indy too! Everything seems to be fitting in place!! Haahahaha.

Pimples, pimples!!! AHH!! DIE U IRRITATING pimples!!!

Life's just getting tougher everyday.
Losing my aunty unexpectedly has made me realize how precious each moment spent is.
I wish I had another chance, another moment but once they're gone, they're gone.
Everyday when I look down at her body, I feel as if it's not her but someone else's.
I feel as if she's just going to come back into our lives again.
I hate losing people....

Today I spent the whole day at the wake.
I realized that all I want to do now, is to be there for my cousins and to support them through this very trying period.
I wouldn't know what to do if I'd lose my parents.
The pain might be too great for me.

On another note, I'm dying from food poisioning.
Keep having stomach pains and occasional dashes to the toilet.
Ughhh...the feeling sucks. Doesn't make it any better knowing that I'll be on a 18 hour flight back to US and will not be allowed the luxury of my own toilet.

Wednesday, May 03, 2006 . 5:10 AM

I'm exhausted.

My aunty just passed away this morning.
Suddenly.

Can't believe what just happened.
I never got to say goodbye.
Every year I lose someone to death.

You'll never know when you'll lose someone again or when it'll be the last time you'll see that person. Treasure every moment spent.

PHOTOS FROM THAILAND!

Yummy delicious ice cream with mango...MmMmmm
At the royal palace. Yes...we got some culture in our blood. =)
Thai rak thai Qiang! The guys I miss most when I'm in Btown. *sigh* I seem so short....
The Cabaret "Girls". Damn..some of them were SOOOO HOT! But the best part of the show was probably when my dearest David got pulled up onto the stage. HAHAHA.
Relationships. Do they make you or break you?

For the past few months, I've been hearing so much about relationships and suffocating partners and of course, I myself have been going through the roughest patch in my relationship. All these combined, I just started to lose faith in what relationships really meant. I used to think that relationships were all about trust but more and more people have proven to me otherwise. Very seldom have I seen anyone who could whole heartedly trust their partner. (Don't give me the 'I trust my partner just not the people around him/her' bull crap. Means the same thing.)

I once upon a time felt that being free and single would be the best. No commitments, no need to answer to someone as if you're married. I still find that somewhat true but after hearing about other relationships, I realized that I've had it so much easier and better. (He knows and accepts that my friends will always be my friends and that I want to be in control of my own life.) In fact, he's probably the sweetest mango in the batch and I nearly let him go because of my own selfishness.

It's funny how a few months could make so much of a difference. My whole life changed 360 degrees and now I'm not so sure about what a relationship really means but all I know is that I am very lucky to have what I have with Roland, my friends...my family.

Monday, May 01, 2006 . 11:02 AM

Just got back from Bangkok!
Had a BLAST!
SOOOOO much fun.
Zhiqiang got me addicted to "Thai rak thai!"
It's sooo funny.

Hahaha. Anyway, will update with more about my trip soon..hopefully!

=)
